We’ve only got a week before Christmas, so if you need some last minute gift ideas for people who have OCD, are Mormon, or are just people, check out some of these twelve potential gifts, listed in no particular order….
One Hundred Birds Taught Me to Fly
This book is beautiful, both in its illustrations and prose. AshMae is a wonderful author and artist, and this book is a gift in itself!
The OCD Mormon
So of course I have to recommend my book for anyone who wants to know more about mental illness and how to help and relate to those who deal with obsessive compulsive disorder in particular, but mental disorders in general. Great for church leaders, loved ones, and those with anxiety!
Tickets to ADAM Conf
I also have to put in another plug for Anxiety Disorders and Mormonism! For those who like to give experiences rather than things, this is a perfect option! You can buy two tickets and come together, stay in Salt Lake overnight, and enjoy an awesome time. We have amazing talks, speakers, and panelists (check out the updated list here). Early Bird Tickets are limited and only going through the end of the year, so don’t wait too long!
Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Hand Cream
This is a great stocking stuffer. I’ve tried many hand lotions, but this is one of my favorites because it actually works and doesn’t leave my hands all greasy right after I put it on!
Uniqlo Puffy Coats
Uniqlo coats are how I survive winter. I was not always a puffy coat person until I met Uniqlo puffy coats. They are great for travel because they roll up into almost nothing, but they are warm and cozy too! The colors are really nice too. They have coats for kids and men as well. All of my family except my son (not sure why…?) has at least one Uniqlo coat.
Stopping the Noise in Your Head
I do love this book about anxiety from Reid Wilson (who is a keynote at ADAM Conf). It’s so easy to read, relatable, and just plain good. Get it for someone you know who struggles with worry or anxiety!
Romantics Anonymous
This is one of my husband and my favorite movies that deals with characters who have anxiety. It’s hilarious, heartwarming, and relatable. If I remember correctly, it’s in French with subtitles? Still, it’s worth it.
iOCDF Membership
This is great way to support the International OCD Foundation while also getting the perks of receiving their newsletter and getting discounted admission to their yearly conference (which is in DC this July).
Socks
I feel like socks are essential for Christmas. At least for me. I love socks.
Papersource Calendars
I also feel like calendars and/or planners from PaperSource are essential for Christmas and each new year. Seriously, I buy so many. I think I got two calendars to hang up and two planners for 2018. I may have a problem.
Sufjan Stevens Songs for Christmas
Classic and quirky and wonderful Christmas music from Sufjan Stevens.
Sufjan Stevens Silver & Gold
More classic and more quirky wonderful Christmas music from Sufjan Stevens.
